Walk in Alta-rocca

If we like a Corse, it's necessary to talk about it's mountain. Where it take shelter in the finest weather, where it kept a familly sheep barn. Where it left a part of its soul. In the south of the island Alta Rocca does not avoid the rules : composed of maquis landscapes, plantation of maritime pines, rocky peaks and village attached with the sides of mountain, away from the tourist crowd.

Sainte-Lucie-de-Tallano is a market town, in the narrow streetways while turned towards Valinco Gulf.

With his paces of village-ghost, it always makes expenses an ancient legend which says that hit by the poor eye... Other side, it's better to make a knowlegde of the olive growing farmer which installed on the place Monuments of Death, assures local animation while favouring its 100% natural products.

Levie is a regional capital. His main attraction : - The archeological Museum which redraws human occupation since 3500 years in the region. That side, Quenza allows to discover some old genoise houses more than a millennium. Superb in summer, but in winter, Quenza is also a good departure foundation for amateur of skiing.

More known and also pretty, Zonza is appreciated for his hotels and restaurants which make the nice products of the land.

Among the personalities who appreciated : Théodre Ier( In 1936, while he was... Corsican King ) or Mohamed V, registered Morocco Sultan. It's from here, it's necessary to leave to the conquest of Bavella Needles or the Castellu of Cucuruzzu, an archeological site in a exception natural frame. As it's besides every where in Alta Rocca...
