Porto, between Balbuzard et tower génoise

Superb Porto Gulf - general view

Administrativaly, Porto is an simple hamlet which depends on the village Ota, higher located in the mountain. Though, if Ota is mostly unknown by the Corsican lover... On other hand Porto makes some dreams... Because its special site transformed this small market town into an important tourist stopover.

Today, It is while threading between hotels, restaurants and shops fulled of post cards, which go down towards the small beach edged on the one hand by the Piana creeks(foothills of die) and other side by the bed of the river Porto( which gave a village name) and by the pretty tower genoise, proudly perched at the top of the rock, in the bottom of the Gulf.

The classified site of Pianna creeks overflow in summer coaches and cars which make a line to find a parking place. That's the magic of the place, if we have a chance to park, quickly we discovers a handle of path which make possible to move away and to admire, away from the crowd, strange forms sculpted by the nature. Some of them carry names suggested by their very recognizable :"Dogs head", "Fortified Castle"...
