Cubans don't get foreign television stations and have to make do with the two state run stations that broadcast official programming. From 9 PM to 10:30 PM, the daily broadcast of the soap opera La Novela has millions of Cubans glued to their screens. The soap opera comes right after the daily news broadcast.

Foreign television is only available in hotels with satellite TV.

As far as radio is concerned, radio receivers don't work equally well on all parts of the island. But every evening, every station broadcasts the same official news program.
There are many newspapers available including Rebelde, Tribuna de La Habana, Granma... and these papers allow the many street vendors to earn a few pesos by selling them to passers by.
