Located in the medina districts, riads are traditional Moroccan residences
designed around a central patio. Each riad has a central fountain which
provides tranquility and a cool atmosphere. You won't find a hotel room
that provides the same charm as a riad. You can either rent the whole
house for a group, or a double room (from €80, depending on the
season).

In tourist towns, you're better off reserving your hotel in
advance. On average, prices range from 30 to 130 MAD.
For run of the mill hotels, be sure and ask to see the room.
Showers usually cost about 5 MAD more. If you're really in a bind,
there are always the public showers or a hammam in each village.Camping
is very practical in Morocco as you can pitch your tent almost
anywhere, that is, with the owner's permission. There are also
a number of "official" camp sites all over the country.
It will cost you about 30 MAD per tent for one person, and 10
MAD for each additional person. 5 MAD for a shower. |
