Paris on water... All of a sudden Paris strangely looks like
Venis... If your eyes were closed, it would deceive you... listen
to foreign tourists creating a summer squawk, to the soft tune of
the Paris pigeon that has nothing to envy his brother from Venis. One
would be deceived by taking a peak: sellers on the rush, the Englishman
wearing his sock halfway up his calf on his "bear feet",
these dreamlike waters, the lagun, the Seine,...But swimming is
not an option |
With or without pigeons, along the river, Paris is breath-taking. If
you are looking for fresh air and peacefulness, follow the guide from
dock to dock.
First step: dive out the metro and rush to the dock. Board on the "batobus".
A public transport system that would bring the smile to more than one.
This sea bus makes 8 stops: The Eiffel tower, the Champs Elysées,
the musée d’Orsay, the Louvre, Saint Germain des près,
Notre Dame, Hôtel de ville, Jardin des plantes.

Board on under the driver's supervision and his sidekick with a «
bienvenue à Bord ! » (Welcome on board!)who will carry you
instantaneously for at least 10 minutes (time nedeed to go from dock to
dock) in the aquatic universe of Paris.

Then, lets make a random stop…on an island! L’île
de la cité(city's island). You will be gaped when confronted with
Notre Dame's elegance. A little nice bench, located in back of Notre Dame,
will allow you to recover from your emotions. 2 feet away from there,
you will be confronted with another type of emotion by visiting the memorial
for the victims of the deportation. This place of recollection is majestic
by its sobrity.. (Jouxtant le mémorial, les théâtres
de rues improvisés du Pont au DoublAe respirent la vie et ravissent
les badauds.)
With a daily pass(cheaper if possessing the "carte orange")
you have all day to discover all 8 stops. The "batobuses" come
by every 15 minutes from 10 A.M to 9 P.M during summer; ours are shortened
during the off season and closed during winter.
Safe Journey! |
