The sky scrappers on the horizon are no indication that China is anywhere
near. Rather, they signal the start of a new neighborhood: China Town.
In Paris, China has settled in the 13th district. From
the metro station « porte d’Ivry » (line 7), you must
drag- down "Avenue d'Ivry" in order to penetrate into this "Made
in China" shrine, a true seal of approval in this neighborhood..

Although the bicycles haven't invaded the street, the Chinese-scripted
signboards are proudly enthroned on the walls of Avenue d'Ivry and Avenue
Choisy. Tea lovers, nem lovers, buffalo horn object lovers, or in need
to polish up your karaoke skills, this neighborhood is the home to your
ideal market.
If you're looking for exotic products at a cheap price you must check
out La Boutique des frère Tang owned by brothers
of the same name (The Tang Brothers). In this store you will find a wide
range of Chinese products at a discount price. The Tang brothers are notoriously
known in the Chinese restaurant business due to the fact that they supply
most Chinese restaurants in Paris. So if you're eager to eat Chinese food
but you're on a low budget, come shop at the Brother Tang's boutique!
Keep in mind that you can find a variety of other Chinese supply stores,
more low key and picturesque in nature but supplied with the same products!

Some will find them tacky while others will view them as authentic marvels,
but one thing is for sure, the Asian decorative object boutiques
are a gateway to the Rising Sun.. Smoked filled fountains, illuminated
with bright colors are used as aquariums to shelter cat fish that strangely
look like goldfish. Exotic departments as if you were in China: marble-made
lofty sculptures, lacquered painting, must-buy karaoke DVD's, Chinese
newspapers...

Keep in mind that these stores are closed on Monday's, but are open the
rest of the week (including Sunday)!
