A Garden Promoting
cultural Diversity
As you get out of the metro at Boulogne Pont de Clignancourt
you will notice a peaceful hidden haven...Albert Khan's garden. This garden,
symbol of harmony among cultures, was financed by Albert Kahn, a humanistic
banker with utopian ideas. Considering the fact that nothing can stop
you from accomplishing your "green" dreams when you're a billionaire,
Kahn was able to lay out 4 hectares by spending freely.
Nevertheless, his investment was worthwhile, the money
spent was converted into streams, flowers and trees. A real ecological
mish-mash, placing a forest next to an English garden, or a French garden
bordering the meticulousness of a Japanese garden. This paradise was conceived
in such a way that we can hardly notice the surrounding buildings lucky
to neighbor this quiet garden. Yes in fact, this garden is said to be
the ray of light illuminating the neighborhood. Who could dream of a better
neighbor?
Museum and activities
Located at the entrance, the Albert Kahn museum will
stimulate your appetite. Photo collections and temporary expositions invite
you to discover pictures, texts and pieces of art. Nevertheless, you probably
won't be able to resist the garden's call for which you will definitely
have to fill up your pupils. As for the traditional tea ceremony you can
count on your papilla.
