The Rodin museum, A well-kept jewel!

This three hectares park in the middle of which is enthroned the Hotel
Biron has captivated many French artists such as Jean
Cocteau and Henry Matisse. And guess what: You're
the next one on the list!
Rodin discovers the place
As for August Rodin, he's the one who discovered this place that would
later set the stage to his artwork, following the advice of his friend
Rainer Maria Rilke, a German poet, who also was a member
of this idyllic club. How fortunate we are they made this discovery! The
end result… sculptural works and allegories in an architectural
setting designed by Jean Aubert, laying on a carpet surrounded by nature.
As you listen to the audio guide
Rodin's life is not as smooth as the marbles on his sculptures. This
information coming from the audio guide's soft voice is optional, which
means "Not for free".Among other things, we are told that Rodin
came from a humble family and that it is not before he reached the age
of forty when he decided to trade his anonymity for fame accompanied by
the wealth he had accumulated over the years. The museum was inaugurated
in 1919, two years after the artist had passed away in the middle of the
First World War. Eventhough the artist has disapeared, the everlasting
wealth of his master-work lives on.
Sculptures...

Be ready to welcome these marble, bronze, sandstone, and plaster sculptures.
They dwell in these premises, breathing sensuality, mystery, and life.
Take the opportunity to discover them through all angles, take a walk
around the Three Virtues, around the Benediction,
around the Thinker, around naked men!
The garden

Once you've crossed Hell's gates, settle in the garden,
next to the Bourgeois de Calais; or next to Balzac,
along the singing fountains, sitting on a recliner, or on a bench. Even
though nobody's around, you will feel as if you're been watched. Blame
it on the Eiffel Tower and on the Invalides dome (Military Hospital in
Paris), bending their necks to observe your piece of mind performing,
envious of your good fortune.
