THE PRADO MUSEUM, Madrid

The Prado Museum, one of the largest art galleries in the world, with its more than 5000 works, is located in an 18th century building that was originally intended for use as a natural history museum. This is where you can admire the largest collection of Spanish paintings anywhere in the world. 

At the Prado Museum you can see the collections of all the kings of Spain since Charles V. These painting decorated the walls of their palaces, chambers, salons, libraries and even their kitchens, with the beautiful collection of still-life paintings at the museum.

If you don't have a lot of time, you should at least check out the masterpieces of Spanish painting..
