GO TO KOH LANTA

Take a direction Krabi to reach in Koh Lanta , Western South Thailand.

Krabi is one hour form Bangkok by plane and approximately 12 hours by train and by bus, with it add two and half hour to cover few kilometers which is separated from the island. We took two ferry boats to reach in Ko Lanta Noi and then finally to Ko Lanta Yai.

In fact Ko Lanta Yai depend on the province of Krabi. The islands such as Ko Kardan, Ko Muk, Ko Ngai( Hai) and Ko Rok, which belongs to the National Park of Koh Lanta, they depend on the province of Krabi. There are two different airports : Krabi and Trang. Both of them have daily connection with Bangkok...

This information is important because in low season you can lose full one or two days in transport to reach in desired place. In fact from May till October, the sea between the islands is agitated, only the boat with sufficient sizes (25 to 35 passengers) can sail. The crossing prices increased because there are not more tourist. Thus unless paying 10 to 40 time basic prices (which is 200 to 300B/ 4 to 5euros). The only alternative remains assured the regular links since Pak Meng.

But if you are stubborn and you take time to wait a less agitated sea. At the end you will find a long tail boat( boat with tail)in approximately 2000 B with that you will cross Ko Lanta to Ko Nagi (pronounced Ko Haï).
