Finding a place to stay in Turkey is easy, that is if you stay in the larger tourist areas, where there are a number of hotels and other kinds of accommodations.

You can find a double room in a hotel for between £4 and £10.

You should try and avoid camping out of authorized areas. You might just want to go into a village and ask where you can put up your tent. On a hike to Mount Taurus, in an isolated village, a Turkish family invited us in for tea. Then they served us bread, cheese and biscuits. Two hours later, the Father came home and offered us wine. We ended up sleeping ( all 7 of us) on the balcony of this very hospitable peasant family's home.

Turkish hospitality is certainly not a myth.
